Of Cascade. Beloved husband of 46 years to Diane L. Long (nee Bucksot). Devoted father of Julie (Ronald) Christofferson and Brett (Susan) Long. Loving grandpa to Olivia Christofferson and Nolan and Lauren Long.
Wayne graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in marketing and served in the National Guard for 6 years. He worked in the environmental services field for 25 years. He was an avid amateur radio operator earning the ARRL DXCC honor role award by contacting 335 countries and remote islands. He spent his years of retirement as a short fiction writer and was a member of the Wisconsin Writer's Association.
Memorial Service Wednesday April 30 at 5 PM at the funeral home. Memorial gathering from 3 PM until time of Service.
