He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings; Harlton Waisner, Virden Waisner, Hobert Waisner, Edna Gallimore, Ed Waisner & Cora Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Eddinger Waisner of 69 years; daughters Karen Harris, Barbara Hayworth (Greg) and Annette Waisner; grandsons Andy Hayworth, Chris Hayworth and Adam Tobin (Kala); and great grandchildren Ronni Kate Tobin and Boone Tobin.
Leroy was inducted into the Navy during WWII on April 20th, 1944 and was honorably discharged as Seaman 1st class on June 20th, 1946. After the Navy, he was employed in the furniture industry. He retired from Patrician Furniture in 1988 after 36 years of employment.
Leroy was of Baptist faith and served various roles while attending Southside Baptist Church for many years.
He loved western tv shows, puzzle books, yardwork, camping, coin collecting and gravy biscuits at Bojangles in Denton.
Leroy enjoyed meeting his buddies at The Barbeque Shack in Thomasville.
One of his favorite things was celebrating birthdays with members of his family.
The family gives a special thank you to the staff at Pelican Health of Thomasville for their loving care since January.

A private graveside services for Leroy will take place at Holly Hill Memorial Park of Thomasville.
The family will have a memorial service for Leroy at a later date and time.
Our Daddy always told us that he wrote his own obituary by the way he lived his life each day.
