Mrs. Davis was born on May 16, 1952 in Guilford County, a daughter to the late William Michael and Marion Jeanette Dykes Smith. Barbara loved to shop and watch television. She was employed in the food industry where she performed many different tasks. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Love of God Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Ned Davis; son Shane Davis; daughter Laurie Foster and husband Frankie; brother Michael David Smith and wife Sharon and four grandchildren, Shay Foster, Mikayla Davis, Kylie Davis and Taylor Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Love of God Baptist Church, 5606 South NC Hwy 109, Thomasville NC 27360 with Reverend Michael Orman officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery
