Bobby Ray Cross

He was born June 27, 1949 in Guilford County to the late Jimmy Eugene and Clara Lucille Beck Cross.

Bobby was a mechanic for 37 yrs at Archdale Pure. He was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church where he served as Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendant, a Deacon and Trustee. He was a very Godly and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He loved his family, church and his customers.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Mr. Rowdy Earl Lones and Cora Virginia Lones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ernestine (Teen) Cross of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Mark (Tina) Billings; one son, Mr. Darrell (Ashley) Cross; 5 grandchildren, Daniel and James Billings, Breanna Cross, Skylar Austin and Alyssa Cross; 4 sisters, Ms Ronda Cross, Mrs. Joyce Carden and husband Bill, Mrs. Mary (Clyde) Cranford, Ms Sue Cross; 3 brothers, Mr. Steve Cross and wife Wendy, Mr. Tom Cross and Mr. Tim Cross; many nieces and nephews; many, many close friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday May 19, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Thomasville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday May 20th at Brentwood Baptist Church 2426 Gordon Rd. in High Point with Pastors Bynum Orr and Brad Pharr officiating; interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park.
