Calvin Dawes Griffin

Calvin was born November 4, 1924 in Guilford County to the late Joseph Frank Griffin and Lizzie Lue Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Reese Griffin; sisters, Pauline Griffin, Beulah Griffin and Violet Rumbley.; brothers, Joe Griffin, Grady Griffin, Claude Griffin and Jackie Griffin; and parents.

Calvin is survived by daughters, Joyce Hill and husband David of Archdale and Charlotte McCutcheson of Midway; grandchildren, Dawn Pearson and Taysha Jones McGee both of Thomasville; sisters, Bonnie Griffin Prince and husband Buddy of Thomasville and Joanne McMillan and husband Bill of Kernersville; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday June 10, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Thomasville Funeral Home. A 11:00 am Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 11th in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Smith officiating; interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.
