Charles Edward Hollifield, 67, of Lexington, NC, died September 2, 2026, at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 8, 1959, to the late Clarence and Shirley Hollifield in Davidson Co., NC.

A man of steady presence and quiet devotion, Charles found meaning in the simple, lasting things—time well spent, traditions kept, and the comfort of being together. His careful eye and patient appreciation were evident in his enjoyment of collecting coins, clocks, and watches, interests that reflected a respect for history and craftsmanship. He also enjoyed fishing, welcoming the calm it offered and the unhurried moments it made possible. Above all, he loved grilling out with the family, where conversation, laughter, and familiar faces turned ordinary days into cherished memories.

Charles is survived by his devoted partner, Cathy Simpkins; his son, Charles D. Simpkins (Trish Loue); his daughters, Clarissa Hollifield (William Myers), Charis Roberts, and Stephanie Rankin; his brother, Evan Aderhold; his sister, Paula Hilton; and eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
