Diane Jean Blasi-Burchett

Diane was born on December 8, 1958 in Essex County, New Jersey to Rose Bonk and John Blasi. She was a graduate of Brookdale College, NJ and had a passion for music and dancing. Diane was a very hardworking business woman. For the last 22 years, she had been a dedicated employee of the Ralph Lauren Company, having worked in New Jersey and New York City before accepting a new opportunity with the company, which relocated her to High Point, NC. She was the epitome of a true “company woman” and had great pride in her work. She was also a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Thomasville, where she attended alongside with her mother. In addition to her father, Diane was also preceded in death by her stepfather, David Searcy.

Surviving are her husband, Dwayne Burchett of the home; mother, Rose Searcy of Thomasville; brothers, Jay and Michael Blasi, both of Ft. Myers, Florida; and nieces and nephews, Rachel Blasi, Kelvin, Kyle, Madison, and Colby Crabb.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, 115 Unity Street, Thomasville, with Reverend Jonathan P. Conrad officiating. Entombment will follow in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Friday, January 8, 2016 at Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street.
