Dolores Mae Parks

Dolores was born November 18, 1928 in Davidson County to the late Fred and Floy Everhart Swaim.

On June 15, 1948 she married Harold Jordan who preceded her in death. On December 16, 1967 she married Donald Welborn Parks who preceded her in death. Dolores is also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Swaim; a daughter, Patricia Jordan Sowers; a son-in-law, Allen Reid Thayer.

She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Brenda Jordan Thayer, Ms. Christina Leigh Parks; son-in-law, Eddie Sowers; 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Angela Thayer Crotts and husband Jeff, Mrs. Michelle Thayer McCaskill and husband Jamie, Mrs. Alicia Sowers Clodfelter and husband Matt; 3 great grandchildren, Nick Chavis, Allanna Chavis, Tiffany Jarrett; 2 step-great grandchildren, Kayla Crotts and Thomas Crotts.

Dolores was a member of Laurel Oaks Christian Church (formally First Church of Christ).

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Thomasville Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will follow with Pastor Allen Brown and Pastor Doug Davis officiating; interment will follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church cemetery in Trinity.
