Donald Ray Hunt Sr.

Donald Hunt Sr. was a truck driver for many years. His passion was go-cart and modified racing. He enjoyed fishing and trips to the beach. Donald was one of the Founders for the Reddy Foxx Family Child Protective Club, a Community Service Organization. Most of all he truly loved being around his family.

Donald is survived by his wife, Kathy Lee Byrd Hunt; three daughters, Sherry Pauley and husband Steve Bradshaw Jr., Tonya Hernandez and husband Manuel, Jill Brazzle and husband Kory; two sons, Donald Ray Hunt Jr. and Stephen Hunt; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Rickey Wayne Hunt; and two nieces that he loved as his own, Kimberly Hunt and husband Eric Turner and Crystal Hunt. Loving friends Freddy Baker, Crystal Atkins, Pansy Hunt, and Rock Byrd also survive him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Dale Hunt.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Community Church Cemetery, 4713 Cashatt Road, Trinity, NC, 27370 on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

The family will greet friends from 6-8pm on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, 18 Randolph Street, Thomasville, NC 27360.
