Dear Bowen Family,

I have been truly blessed by having known (through Debbie Bowen) the Bowen family for 26 years & being treated as "family". Mom Bowen's love and prayers have helped me through many crises in my life. During one of these times she gave me the invaluable book "Streams in the Desert" which not only gave me the courage and inspiration to move on, but has "kept on giving" over the years. It helped my mother endure my father's death, and since then we have given many copies to our friends who felt the same gratitude and comfort. Mom Bowen will live forever in many ways in so many hearts. I praise God for having known her and Reverend Bowen, and certainly for my continuing relationship with the rest of their wonderful family. I look forward to joining her sweet soul and smiling face in heaven one day. I will always miss her and love her. Love, Brenda Peeden and Mom Frances

Dear Bowen family,

Your mother has been such a fun, sweet, thoughtful, prayerful inspiration to me down through the years I have known your family. She was always so kind to Kris in his growing up years. Good food, fun, fellowship, and more!

I know you will miss her greatly!!! But at least she is no longer suffering and is enjoying time with your dad in heaven!!! I love you all and so wish I could be there for this moment. You are all in my thoughts and prayers for God's strength and guidance!

Dear Bowen family,
My thoughts and prayers have been with you since I knew your mother/grandmother was declining in health and then since her passing. I was thinking today, I don't guess I remember a time in my life when I didn't know Sis. Bowen. She was always so sweet mannered, loving and kind. I remember the last time I saw her was at Heath Church and she came up and hugged me and said, "Deborah, it is so good to see you and I just love Daniel and his family". Do they make women like her, Sis. Dunn, Sis. Burgess, Bena Miller and my mother anymore? I guess those are 5 women that come to mind right now that had a lot to do with impacting my early years as well as their families. Much Love and Many Prayers to you her family, Deb Downing Calhoun

Dear Bowen Family,

So sorry for your loss of Sis. Bowen. Lots of fond memories of your family and times spent at your place at Roann.
Your mother was always sweet and kind, no matter the circumstances and had the cutest chuckle.
