

Dot was born in Randolph County, February 16, 1934, a daughter of the late David Theodore Kinley and Treva Hughes Kinley. She was a retired school bus driver with thirty years of service with the Davidson County Schools. Dot loved growing flowers and enjoyed working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her sister, Emma Jane Hunt and a brother, Homer Kinley. Alzheimer’s took Dot’s mind but not her love for her family.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Autry Sluder; a daughter, Debra Thompson and her husband Greg; two sisters, Mary Magdaline McDowell and Shirley Saunders and her husband Lonnie; a brother, Benny Kinley and his wife Lou and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Dot’s life will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Darrell Sluder, Jr. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the service. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
