Faye and family: In recent years I rarely saw Sam anywhere other than the grocery store. He was one of the few people I know who didn't seem to mind grocery shopping. Of course, it took a while longer to do if you stopped to chat because it gave him an excuse to" visit". I think there was a place in Heaven for him. He didn't meet a stranger.

We are very sad to hear that Pe-paw has passed away. He was such a kind soul and took care of those he loved. Alisha would always tell us that he had been at daycare that day and what he had been up to. Not too sure what kind of connection they had, but she was always knowing he was there and he must have made a lasting impression on her. Jerry and family our prayers are with you.

I am truly sorry for your loss. A fond memory I have is of him trying to teach me to two-step. I always enjoyed that with him. Remembering Sam and wishing you comfort. Sam will be missed and he will never be forgotten, may his soul rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Sams passing. Always enjoyed our conversations when we met. I grew up in the same neighborhood with Sam and Faye. Sam was always so kind to everyone and never failed to have a smile and a kind word. Faye and family please accept my most humble condolences.

I first met Sam about 15 years ago as a hay customer. I quickly grew to love and respect him. We need more people like him.

The world that knew Sam will truly miss him , I have known Sam since we were young children , he was a layed back, easy going man but that is the way Sam was as a child. now I know without a doubt he is in heaven looking down ,taking care of those left behind our loss is heavens reward. I now pray for the hearts be healed of all the family he left behind.

Sorry for your loss. I went to school with Sam's son Jerry. I always saw Sam driving his truck around Thomasville. I know he will be missed.

I didn’t know Sam for that much time but for the three years I did know him he became like a second grandfather to me. I moved in the house across the street and become close to Sam. He always loved to talk. Whenever we would see each other outside we would always have a half hour conversation at least and we would do this almost every other day. He would always help out in anyway he could. Sometimes he would tell me I needed to get something fixed on my equipment and the next thing you know he would say I fixed your such and such. Sam was that kind of person. He would always tell me, “well, if you need anything you know where it’s at!” His doors were always open. For anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Sam they know that he was of one the best people you could ever know. I’m truly blessed that Sam was a part of my life for those three years and I will truly miss him.
