Mrs. Edna Bailey Pierce, 91, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Piedmont Crossing.
Mrs. Pierce was born in Denton, November 28, 1923, a daughter of Irving Milton Bailey and Essie Mae Hall Bailey. She was employed by Circle Mfg. for many years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Houston Pierce, a sister, Juanita Bullard, and three brothers, Ross, Clifton and Leroy Bailey.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Baity and companion Larry Gortman of Carolina Beach; a sister, Lucy Paradis of Lexington; three grandchildren, Tony B. Baity and wife Melissa, Paul H. Baity and wife Chandra and Jason Baity and wife Tonya, all of Lexington and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Holly Hill Memorial. The family will receive friends at Thomasville Funeral Home Friday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Liberty Dr., Thomasville, NC 27360.
