Homer E. Hancock, 66, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March1, 2019 at his residence.

Homer was born in Davidson County, January 7, 1953, a son of the late George and Mary Ruth Summey Hancock. He was a long time employee by Leggett and Platt. Homer enjoyed going to flea markets and fishing. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Hancock and two brothers, Bill and George Hancock.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Sheila Gallimore Hancock; a daughter, Crystal Brown and husband Garland; a son, Darrell Hancock and wife Kendra; two sisters, Shirley Pullum and Sandra Hancock; three grandchildren, Katie Brown, Haven Brewer and Savannah Byrd.

A Celebration of Homer's life will be held Tuesday, March 5, at 2 p.m. in Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor William Seawell. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. and at other times the residence. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County.
