Hubert was born September 2, 1934, a son of the late Jesse Marvin and Veola Hill. He owned and operated Hills Orchard & Vineyard and was retired from Thomasville Furniture. He loved spending time with family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hill; brother, Jesse Hill and wife Barbara Hill; and brother-in-law, Howard Gammons Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are four children, Duane Hill of Thomasville, Melissa Xavier (Brian) of Idaho, Kevin Hill of Trinity, and Steven Hill (Teresa) of Trinity; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Derrick, Caleb, Annie, Anna, Adam, Alston, and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Braxton; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis G. Stanley of Thomasville, Mary Ann Gammons of Thomasville; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Gammons (Karen) of Denton, Bobby Gammons (Pat Meredith) of Thomasville; and many special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Hubert will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC, with a visitation one hour prior at 1:00 PM until time of service. Entombment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.
