Jacob "Dickie" Waterhouse

A resident of this area most of his life, Dickie was born on February 24, 1944, in Harrisburg, PA to the late Thomas and Gertrude Nye Waterhouse. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a forklift manager for many years. Dickie enjoyed spending time on the water fishing and especially going to Randleman Reservoir with his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Dickie had a love for his fish ponds and his dog, Molly, bird, Sinbad, and cat, Spooky. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Bob Waterhouse.

On April 5, 1963, he married the former Wanda Hodges who survives of the home. Also

surviving are sons, Todd Waterhouse and his wife Sherry of Trinity, Randy Waterhouse and his wife Marsha of Thomasville, Timmy Waterhouse of the home, and Mark Waterhouse and his wife Julie of Stokesdale; two grandsons, Wesley and Scott Waterhouse; and three sisters, Ann Johnson, Sue Sowers, and Jennifer Foster.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday at Colonial Baptist Church, 6792 Welborn Road, Trinity. Memorial contributions in Dickie’s memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123.
