Jimmy was born in High Point, March 21, 1940, a son of the late James Madison Freeman and Aileen Smith Freeman. He was an Army veteran and worked for Old Dominion Freight Line and Clinard Oil Co. for over 30 years. Jimmy was a workaholic and especially enjoyed working on lawn mowers and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cooter Freeman and two sisters, Claudette Wilson and Barbara Ann Hodgin.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Virginia “Jenny” Sparks Freeman; a son, James “Bugger” Freeman and his wife Tonya; three grandchildren Jeremey, Tyler and Dale Baker and a great-grandson, Kian Baker.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Holly Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wishes to thank their friends and family for their support during this difficult time.
