Mrs. Jerrydean Ann (Bryant) Causey, 82, of Lexington, North Carolina, peacefully passed away at her home on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 18, 1944, in West Virginia, Jerrydean was the cherished daughter of Dewey and Tina Bryant. She lived a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and love.
Jerrydean will be remembered for her warm heart, infectious laughter, and the joy she brought to every conversation. She never met a stranger, and her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those around her touched the lives of all who knew her. She worked for many years in retail before retiring from Walmart in Lexington, where she formed lasting friendships and was known for her dedication and warm smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Tina Bryant; her beloved husband, Shelton Causey; her former husband and the father of her children, A.B. Elliott; her daughters, Cindy McHone and Mary Johnson; her brothers and sisters, Billie Mae, Barbara Jean, Richard, Gary "Bud," John, and James "Jim."
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sandra (Ricky) Causey; her son, Brad (Lisa) Elliott; her son-in-law, Darrell McHone, husband of her beloved late daughter Cindy; her loving sister, Jackie (Danny) Norman; her grandchildren, Wayne (Kelly), Tealisa, Brian (Karla), Teddy (Brandy), Mandy (Paul), and Kelly (Christopher); her great-grandchildren, Jonathan (Haleh), Samantha (Thomas), Dawson (Katlyn), Addison, Taylor, Maddox, Jordan, and Maeson; her great-great-grandchildren, Paislee and Hudson; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Jerrydean’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will remain forever in their hearts. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to live through all who knew and loved her.
Graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Pastor Wayne Short officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Kelly McHone, 11415 Sumner Rd., Thomasville, NC Memorials may be directed Hospice of Davidson County.
