John Wesley Gillaspie

December 13, 2010 at his home.

He was an US Army Veteran, serving with the 82nd Airborne division.

He was born on October 21, 1943 to Boyden and Era Gillaspie. He was

preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Gillaspie.

John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda Sue Sechrist

Gillaspie. Also left to cherish precious memories are:

daughters: Tammy Ridenhour and husband Steven Dale, and Aronda Halsey and

husband Tim

son: Wesley Keith Gillaspie

Grandchildren: Amber Turner and boyfriend Joey Coleman, Steven Michael

Ridenhour, Tabitha Smith and husband Justin, Bryan Gillaspie and wife

Kimberly

Great Grandchildren: Camden and Caben Gillaspie

Brothers: Melvin Gillaspie and wife Barbara, and William Gillaspie and

wife Rhonda.

Sisters: Corrina Williams, Doris Bradley and husband Bob and Dorothy

Steen and husband Bill.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday December 15,

2010 at Thomasville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00

A.M. on Thursday December 16, 2010 with Pastor Billy Myers from Archdale

Assembly of God at the funeral home chapel followed by interment in Holly

Hill Memorial Park.

Little Did We Know

Little did we know that morning that God would call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you, you are always on our side.

Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
