Mr. Johnnie Randall Miller, 87, of Sophia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Miller was born on December 27, 1930 in Duplin County, North Carolina, a son to the late William Butler and Nebraska Elizabeth Thompson Miller. He was a longtime member of God’s Harvest Worship Center and attended Thomasville Church of God. No matter the case, Mr. Miller was always “tinkering” on something and was a jack-of-all-trades. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Carlas Thompson; and four sisters, Lovie Tyndall, Edna Brock, Dorothy Honeycutt, and Clara Lee Honeycutt. Surviving are his children, Kathy Annette Turbyfill and husband Joe of Trinity and Roger Thompson and wife Jean of Nashville, NC; four grandchildren, Heather Leigh Jackson, Christopher Carl Thompson, Jared Lee Turbyfill and wife Elizabeth Harwell, and Justin Allen Turbyfill and significant other Dakotah Moore; four great grandchildren, Robby Carol Shaw, Angel Elizabeth Shaw, William Thomas Jackson, and Weston Atlas Thompson; two sisters, Ruth Honeycutt and Marie Spell; special friend and companion, Audrey Atkins; and special friend and caregiver, Marsha Southard. A service to celebrate Mr. Miller’s life will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 29 at Thomasville Church of God with Pastor Alan Greene and Pastor Joe Beane officiating. Annette, I want you to know how sorry I am to hear about your father passing. I know you can really miss him in days to come. I remember so many "pictures" in my mind of your mother and father and how happy they seemed. Our parents seemed to share a lot of good times together, in church and in leisure time outside of church, just the way Christian friends should. They will always be a good part of my memories. May the Lord bless you, Annette, and your family, and help make all your memories of your father happy ones to carry with you until you meet him again on the other side in heaven. Love, Phyllis

I only seen him a few times but he was a sweet man. He treated my sister Marsha like one of his own. Rest In Peace and be reunited with your beautiful wife.
