Judy Arlene Yokley Embler, 78, passed away Sunday October 28, 2018 at her residence.

Judy was born in Guilford County on July 1, 1940 a daughter of the late Arnold Yokley and Charlotte Yokley. She was married to Larry Roscoe Embler for 51 years, who preceded her in death on June 26, 2010. She was a homemaker, dedicated mother, grandmother, and mentor to many others. Her unique ability for understanding and compassion is traits she is well known for. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Burgess; great grandson, Joshua Blane Tucker; and her sister, Leslie Eaton.

Survivors are daughter, Lynn Wishon and husband David; son, Larry Lee Embler and girlfriend Jamie Boone; sisters, Shirley Berrier and husband Max, Linda Board and husband Hurley, Dena Martin; brothers, Larry Yokley and wife Glenda, Buck Yokley and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Sherry Daniel and husband Cliff, Brooke Tucker and husband Josh, Jonathon McMahan and wife Shannon, David Wishon II and wife Tonya, Christopher Burgess, Cory Embler and girlfriend Sarah Usina; 13 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am Thursday Nov. 1st at Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel with Debbie Resor officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends and family afterward at 318 Ironwood Dr., Thomasville NC, 27360. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County.
