Kathleen Payne

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, October 10, 2022, Kathleen W. Payne, 91, wife of Mr. Robert “Bobby” Payne.

Kathleen was born in Thomasville, NC and graduated from High Point College with a bachelor’s degree in 1952. She then began her career teaching school. While living in Augusta, GA Kathleen was a faithful member of Abilene Baptist Church.

Family members, in addition to her husband Bobby, include her daughters: Kathy Adams (Ed), Bobbie Kay Sconyers (Randy); son: Mike Payne (Susie); ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Coble and Sylvia Crimm. Kathleen was preceded in death by her son Daryl Eugene Payne.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Bill Harrell officiating. Interment will be in Thomasville, North Carolina at Holly Hill Memorial Park.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 401 W. Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.
