Paul was born on May 12, 1940 in Guilford County to the late Lloyd Paul Tucker, Sr. and Minnia Tucker McManus. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Uwharrie Baptist Church. He enjoyed working in his yard, reading his Bible, spending time with his grandkids and family, and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Ray Tucker.
Surviving are his wife, Jamie Hulin Tucker of the home; daughter, Tammy Small of Thomasville; step-daughter, Crystal Rowe of Thomasville; step-son, Scottie Howard of Walburg; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Glisson of Thomasville and Brenda Rodgers of Georgia.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Wayside Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church, 3035 Upper Lake Road, Thomasville. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
