Lois Haeffele was born April 12, 1949, in Anthony, Kansas. She was the oldest of three children born to parents, Wayne Anderson Clutter and Joan Allyne Ludeman. She grew up on
a farm south of Anthony, Kansas, and graduated from high school in Anthony, Kansas.
During her high school years, Lois and her family began attending services of what was then named the Radio Church of God in Wichita, Kansas. It would later be named the Worldwide Church of God. In her senior year she decided she wanted to attend Ambassador College, Big Sandy, Texas, the Church’s sponsored college. It was there that she met James (Jim) Haeffele, who she would marry three years later.
On June 10, 1970, Lois and Jim were married in Wichita, Kansas. They honeymooned in Colorado Springs in route to their first assignment, Salt Lake City, Utah. Jim had been hired as a trainee into the ministry in the Church. Lois loved to serve and fellowship with the brethren, and she was a wonderful support to her husband in his ministry. She was a very loving mother and enjoyed her time with her three children, a daughter and two sons. She loved the many trips and experiences they had in travels to Israel, South Africa, the Philippines, eastern and western Canada, and seeing most all of the U.S. national parks.
Lois Haeffele is survived by her husband, Jim, her daughter, Sharon Haeffele, her son, Bryan Haeffele and wife Jennifer, and her son, David Haeffele and wife Jennifer.
