Mrs. Painter was born on May 3, 1949 in Atwell, WV to the late George and Jacqueline Trump Sweeney. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as Activities Assistant at the Libertywood Nursing Home in Thomasville. Mrs. Painter was a homebody who loved to read and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her daughters, Channon Dingle and Tracey Tollison both of Thomasville; son, Jimmy Painter of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Shawn Dingle and Bethany Wheeler; two sisters, Mildred Bennett and Crystal Bennett; and brother, Larry Perkins.
A celebration of Mrs. Painter’s life will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 24th in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street with Pastor J.C. Miles officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
