Surrounded by family and friends Mrs. Lou Ilean Nobles, age 89, of Lexington, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Hospice of Davidson County. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Lou Ilean Nobles was born in Horry County, South Carolina on April 18, 1929 to LeRoy and Sally Altman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Nobles, her son Jerry Nobles; two sisters Beulah Hammonds and Jewel Brown; one brother Earl Altman.

She had survived 5 generations. Surviving are her daughters, Judy Grainger, Geraldine Marion, and Wanda Rhodes; her son Harold Nobles; her sister Ruby Shelly. Her grandchildren Myra, Kirby, Loretta, Lisa, Patti Cindy, Scotty, Tanya, Alicia, Brittany, Brooke, and Shawn; her great grand children Summer, Michael, Kalyn, Haley, Tiffany, Marie, Anthony, Brandi, Kayla, Taylor, Chloe, Cayden, Jaelyn, Alison; her great-great grand children Kadance, Hunter, Olivia, Daisy, Nicole, Aubree, Makenize, Eliza, Grayson; several nieces and nephews whom all loved her dearly.

She was the most precious, amazing, beautiful, kind, humble, compassionate, sweet spirited, God fearing, modest woman that we will ever have known in this life time; She was a prayer worrier, she would lift her hands up high no matter where she was or what was going on always giving thanks and praises to the Lord Jesus Christ; her strong will to serve the Lord and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ carried her through life. She lived her life according to Ephesians 4:32, be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. She was loved by many and in return she loved all.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 1pm until 2pm at Thomasville Funeral Home. Followed by her funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2pm with Preacher Michael Orman officiating. Burial service will follow at the Holly Hill Cemetery. Following burial service, family and friends will meet at the home of daughter, Wanda Rhodes 10361 E. Old Hwy 64 Lexington, NC 27292.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Davidson County for their caring hearts and compassion. Special thanks to granddaughter Cindy Whitman for many years of unconditional love and dedication for her grandmother Mrs. Lou Ilean Nobles.
