Michael Thomas Finley

Michael was born December 2, 1946 in Fayette County, KY; the son of the late Homer Thomas Finley and Dorothy Mae Reed. Mike enjoyed being outdoors. He spent many days enjoying his time at the "Finley Farm". He was an avid hiker who enjoyed many of North Carolina's trails. Mike was a quiet man, but had a big heart. He showed his love by acts of service. Mike was the president of "Family Motors". He would give you the shirt or coat of his back. He was always available to fix a car, help with a house project, or taxi a grandchild. Mike loved spending time with his close family members, and the occasional critter. He was a fan of Doctor Who and Monty Python and the like. Mike served in the US Army as a Sergeant in the Signal Service Corp during the Vietnam War.

Left to cherish Michael's life are his daughter, Erin Hampton (Greg) and son Jeffrey Finley, a sister; Sharon Zovod (David); three grandchildren; Phillip Hampton, Jonathan Hampton and Rosemary Hampton and a nephew, David Seagraves.

A Memorial gathering for Michael will be held Friday April, 25, 2025 from 2p.m.-3:30p.m. at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations in Thomasville, NC.
