Mildred Williams Lester

A resident of this area most of her life, Mrs. Lester was born on June 11, 1947 in McDowell County, WV to the late Lester and Lucy Roberts Williams. She had worked in the textile industry for many years and loved going to yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. Mrs. Lester especially enjoyed being around children, which brought joy to hear heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldine Williams and Charlotte Warrix; and brothers, Franky, James, Roger, and David Williams.

Surviving are her husband, John Lester of the home; daughter, Victoria McGaha and significant other Ron of Sophia; sons, Kenny McGaha and significant other Amber of Sophia, and Bobby Lester and wife Sandra of Sophia; four grandchildren, KenBer McGaha, Ian McMahan, Ashlee Lester, and Heather Muncy; and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister, Judy Marshall and husband Greenville of Premier, WV; two brothers, Jerry Williams and wife Connie of Princeton, WV and Harold Williams and wife Donna of Archdale.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 until 8 pm Friday, July 7, 2017 at Thomasville Funeral Home.
