Nancy was born October 26, 1942, in Thomasville to Floyd and Amie Elizabeth Ferrell.
After graduating, Nancy worked numerous years in the sewing industry, then, in later years, for Goodwill in Thomasville.
Nancy had a variety of interests. She enjoyed doing crafts, traveling with her friends, and had a special heart for taking care of stray cats. She always looked forward to family reunions so that she could spend time with relatives.
Nancy loved music since she was a teenager. She enjoyed going to concerts, even into her sixties, she was still going to see the Gaithers with her nephew, Alan.
Nancy loved the Lord. She was a devoted attendee of Bethel Global Methodist Church (formerly Bethel United Methodist Church of Thomasville) from the time she was born until the Lord called her to join her family in Heaven.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Floyd and Amie Ferrell; her dear older brother, Otha Lee Ferrell; her nephew, John Otha Ferrell; and her longtime best friend, Barbara Phillips.
Left to cherish her memory are her nephews, Alan Ferrell (Rebecca) of Newton, Eric Ferrell (Carol Sue) of Wagram, and Clint Ferrell of Raeford.
Nancy was a caring person, a loving aunt, and a dear friend to many.
A visitation will be held Monday, July 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, 18 Randolph Street, Thomasville, NC. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will then take place at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's name to Bethel Global Methodist Church, 508 Fisher Ferry St, Thomasville, NC 27360.
