Nora Kohler Morin, a resident of Lexington, NC, passed away on November 11, 2025, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 4th, Nora was a beloved daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Kohler. Her journey took her from Brooklyn to Long Island, and ultimately to North Carolina, where she built a life filled with love and family.
Her passions in life were many. Nora had a profound love for dancing and music and found great joy in caring for children. An avid animal lover, she adored her dogs and all animals in need. She had a strong affinity for travel, whether it was to the beach, the mountains, Canada, or along the east coast. Her vibrant spirit and love of life were infectious to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Nora was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Jean Morin.
Left to cherish her memory are her six sons, Edward Morin (Michelle), Alan Morin (Keri), André Morin, Shawn Morin, and Patrick Morin (Alicia); her three daughters, Jeanne Morin, Doreen Morin Threulsen (Bill), and Margaret Morin; her sister, Sister Margaret Kohler; and twelve grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly. Her children and her grandchildren were her world.
Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, located at 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 2210 N Elm St., Greensboro, NC. Nora will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Salisbury.
