Norman Winthred Luther

A resident of this area all of his life, Mr. Luther was born on July 26, 1932 in Davidson County to the late Eugene George and Olive Phillips Luther. He was of the Baptist faith and had retired as a supervisor from Kayby Mills. Mr. Luther also faithfully served his country in the United States Army. Most of all, he enjoyed fishing and going to auctions and sales.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Marsh, Mary Byerly, and Ruby Hill; and one brother, George Luther.

Surviving are his children, Norman Luther II of Anaheim Hills, CA, Tammy Luther Yates and husband Deffie of Lexington, Dreama Luther Causey and husband Donald of Thomasville, and Norman Eugene Luther and wife Shae of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren, Shana, Elaina, Mandy, Alysha, Aaron, Matthew, and Tyler; and thirteen great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home, 18 Randolph Street, with Pastor Floyd Edwards officiating. Interment with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Thomasville Funeral Home.
