Barry, mere words alone cannot express how my heart hurts for you and Cody right now. Penny was a special person with whom you were blessed to spend a large portion of your life. I know she blessed the lives of many others as well. The two of you spent many years together, but I know that still was not enough. Together you faced a lot of hard times and a lot of heartaches, but you also shared a lot of love, joy, and good times. To me, Penny will always be that young, beautiful teenager who came to Vance's Skating Rink over the weekends. We were so young and carefree back then, not knowing what our futures held. I am so glad the two of you found each other along life's journey and traveled the road together. You were truly soulmates. I can't be there in person tonight, but please know that I am there with you in spirit and my thoughts and prayers will be with you tonight. Mom sends her love and prayers, also. We will be thinking of you and Cody as you struggle through this difficult time in your lives, and we pray God will give you comfort, strength, and peace.
