

Born May 2, 1939, in Ashe County, Quincy was the son of the late Ed and Mae Stanley Roark. He had been a member of Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church for 24 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather, and was the rock of his family. Quincy was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kay Davis Roark, of the home; seven daughters, Joann Wagner, of Thomasville, Shelby Berrier and husband, Roger, of High Point, Wanda Aikens and husband, Keith, of Trinity, Debbie Bentley, of Archdale, Jeannie Mashburn and husband, Rusty, of Thomasville, Patty Ramey and husband, Jamey, of Thomasville, and Wendy Mashburn, of Trinity; two sons, Ricky Roark, of Archdale, and Tony Mashburn and wife, Barbara, of Archdale; a sister, Dorothy Hopkins, of West Jefferson; two brothers, Clay Roark, of West Jefferson, and June Roark, of High Point; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of Quincy’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Full Gospel Freewill Holiness Church, 1021 W. Holly Hill Rd. in Thomasville, officiated by Pastor Junior Hutchins. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
