Reba Powell Grainger

Reba was born September 25, 1925 in Loris, SC to the late Tilly and Bertha McCumby Powell. She worked at Carolina Hosiery for 30 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pierce Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leamon Grainger; sisters, Ora Mae Norris and Cordelia Grainger of Florida; Maxi Powell and Tom Powell.

Reba is survived by daughter, Virginia Davis; son, Buddy Grainger and wife Sharon; (like a son) Nephew Limmie Grainger; grandchildren, Wayne Davis and wife Sandra, Pastor Marty Grainger and wife Anita, Tosha Franklin and husband Mike, Jamie Cox and wife Ashley, Tamara Grainger; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Rosco Powell and Homer Powell of South Carolina; sisters, Gertie Mae Ridlehuver and Bernice Isbell of South Carolina.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Thomasville Funeral Home. An 11:00 am Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 8 at Pierce Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Trinity with Elders Ted Morton and Pastor Marty Grainger; interment will follow in Church Cemetery.
