Mrs. Rhonda Apple Driver, 71, of Thomasville, North Carolina, passed away on October 10, 2026. Born in Reidsville North Carolina on June 11, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Wade McGeehee and Margaret Robinson Poole Apple.
On July 1, 1977, Rhonda married the love of her life, Gordon Ray Driver. Together, they built a home shaped by steadfast devotion and enduring love as they raised their five children: Michelle Lee, Samantha Godwin, Angelia Nicole, Christy Marie, and Joshua Ray. Family remained at the center of Rhonda’s life, and her grandchildren were truly the apple of her eyes; she treasured time spent together and found deep joy in the moments they shared.
Rhonda dedicated more than 37 years of faithful service to Wright Global Graphics before retiring, a reflection of her resilience and steady commitment. Away from work, she and Gordon especially enjoyed camping, and whenever they had the opportunity, they spent time at Dan Nicholas Park in Rowan County—simple days that spoke to what she valued most: togetherness, rest, and the comfort of familiar places.
A woman of honest conviction and kind-hearted care, Rhonda gave of herself in ways both seen and quiet. She was known for a compassionate spirit and a selfless willingness to put others first, and she loved deeply—through the joys of life and through its harder seasons as well. She was a faithful member of Rich Fork Baptist Church of Thomasville until her health declined, and her love for God and her church remained a guiding strength throughout her life. She was the first female to work security for the church!
In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Marie, and her three sisters, Shirley, Ouida, and Doris.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 49 years, Gordon Ray Driver; her children, Michelle Lee, Samantha Godwin, Angelia Nicole, and Joshua Ray; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, with two on the way; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends. Rhonda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rest assured that Rhonda Driver is rejoicing and having a heck of a party with family now!
