

A resident of this area for most of his life, Mack was born on June 26, 1944 in Galax, VA to Thomas Gwyn Reeves and Tessie May Spurlin Reeves. Mack moved to High Point at the age of 18. He was hired by a small furniture manufacturing plant and this is where his passion ignited. He worked for Monarch Furniture for many years before stepping out on faith to open his own company. In 1977 he bought and renovated an old building on Washboard Road in Thomasville, and Frame Builders Inc. was born. He was an active member of Westfield Baptist Church and was a great supporter of the Youth Ministry.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents; Thomas Gwyn Reeves and Tessie May Spurlin Reeves and a wonderful woman that was like a mother to him, ‘Momma’ June Reeves. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, Dean Reeves, Bill Reeves, Curtis Reeves, Bobby Reeves, Irene Reeves Furr, and Louise Reeves.
Surviving is his daughter, Karen Reeves Dawkins and her husband Michael of Thomasville; granddaughters, Michaela and Mariah Dawkins. He loved and adored his family, especially his granddaughters. Mack didn’t consider Michael a son-in-law, he considered him to be his son. Also surviving is his best friend and brother Tommy Reeves of Trinity, NC. Surviving also is Larry Reeves of King, NC, and sister; Linda Reeves Hawks of Galax, VA. Mack is survived by two very special people; his niece Judy Grubbs of Surf City, NC and his best friend Ronald Bennett of Trinity, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mack’s life will be held at 2pm Friday, December 20th, 2013 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home with the Reverend Garry Reeder and David Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:45pm prior to the service.
The family of Mack would like to extend their gratitude to the Hospice doctors and nurses for taking such good care of him these last few months.
