Ronald Windell Key, 72, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at NC Baptist Hospital.

Ronald was born in Surry County on September 21, 1946 to the late Harding Windell Key and Mary Whitaker Key. He was married to Peggy Joyce Key who passed away on November 12, 1989. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Key. He was a long distance truck driver for Henredon and Watkins Shepard.

Surviving are daughters, Wendy Key Bowman and husband Barry, Karen Key Barnes and husband Moe; brother; Trent Key and wife Marlene; six grandchildren; and fiancée, Brenda Broadwell Kennedy.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Savage officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Cemetery in High Point. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
