She was born February 1, 1922 in Guilford County to the late Walter Lee Rule and Susan Odelia Bryant.
Ruth worked 20 yrs at Kaybee Mills then retired from Carolina Underwear. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church.
Ruth is survived by her son, Richard Gillespie and wife Patrice, daughter, Judith Sink; grandchildren, Kristie McDaniel and husband Steve, Kevin Gillespie and wife Andi, Lori Lynn and husband George; great grandchildren, Meredith and Morgan McDaniel, Brooks, Brett and Brodie Gillespie, Abby and Anna Lynn.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Holly Hill Memorial Park with Reverend Steve Jarvis officiating.
