For several years, Tammy worked for Egger Wood Products as a dispatcher in Linwood, NC, near Lexington. She enjoyed her job and actively contributed to the company's 401K plan for retirement. Three years ago, she became a grandmother for the first time to her grandson, Austin. She loved him dearly and he loved his Mam-Maw.
Tammy had a great concern for animals. She loved her two dogs, Rambo and Bandit. Tammy thought that all animals needed a good home.
Her mother, Shirley Way Kennedy; two children, Jesse Kennedy and Jenna Kennedy; and one grandson, Austin Kelly, survive Tammy. Her father, Dave Kennedy, preceded her in death in 2004.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 18 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC 27360, on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
The family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00am -10:45am at the funeral home.
