Tracy Allen Boles

Tracy Allen Boles, 65, of Thomasville, North Carolina, passed away on August 1, 2026. Born August 23, 1960, in Thomasville, North Carolina, Tracy was the son of Donald and Margaret Johnson Boles. He will be remembered with deep respect and affection for the steady way he lived—marked by sincerity, loyalty, and a quiet generosity that asked for nothing in return.

From his early years, Tracy carried an easy manner that put others at ease, paired with a work ethic that showed itself in everything he took on. He attended Thomasville High School, where he played tennis, golf, and wrestled—wrestling being among his favorites. In time, tennis and golf became the sports he enjoyed most, reflecting both his dedication and the simple pleasure he found in the game.

Tracy learned the trade of brick masonry from his father, Donald, and became an excellent stone mason. He took pride in honest work and in doing things the right way, earning the trust of those who knew him through consistency and integrity. He also worked for a time at High Point Seating and Upholstery.

Outside of work, Tracy found joy in fishing, golf, and watching basketball, faithfully cheering for UNC Chapel Hill. He also treated himself to an E-bike, which he loved riding—an everyday pleasure that suited his relaxed spirit and appreciation for life’s straightforward moments. Those closest to him knew his humor as something natural and unforced, often arriving just when it was needed most.

Above all, Tracy had a big heart and a gentle soul. He was selfless in the ways that matter most—ready to help, willing to give, and steadfast in showing up for others. His kindness was practical, his loyalty enduring, and his presence a comfort to family and friends alike.

Preceding Tracy in death are his wife, Katie Boles, and his stepfather, Otis McCoin.

Survivors here to cherish Tracy’s memories are his son Tyler; his parents, Donald and Margaret; his stepmother, Christy; his brother Steve (Terra); two sisters, Angel and Cindy (Gary); four nephews Jimmy (Kelsey), Robbie (Christina), Noah and Anson; and three nieces, Harper, Addilyn and Kinsleigh.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Alderwood Hospice, a division of Davidson County Hospice.

A visitation for Tracy will be held Tuesday August 4, 2026, from 6p.m.-8p.m. at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations of Thomasville, NC.
