William Franklin McDaniel

He was born in Davidson County on November 7, 1937 to the late Walter David McDaniel and Gladys Reese McDaniel.

At a young age he joined and remained a member of the Pilot Fire Department. After many years of dedicated service in upholstery, William retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries. William was also a lifetime member of the Thomasville Rescue Squad.

On December 24, 1957 he married the love of his life, the former Martha Floyd. To this union, three sons were born. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Steven Tucker, one brother, Donald Leon McDaniel, and one sister in law, Betty McDaniel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Martha McDaniel; sons, William Michael McDaniel (Rhonda), Franklin Todd McDaniel (Martha) and Danny Wayne McDaniel; grandchildren, Michael McDaniel, Gloria Thomas (Bobby), Josh McDaniel (Kristin), C.J. Tucker (Nikki), Stephanie Tucker, Sheldon McDaniel, Brady McDaniel, Steven Willis (Tiffany) and Kevin Willis; great grandchildren, Bryce McDaniel, Caleb McDaniel, Savannah McDaniel, Luke McDaniel, Nathan Thomas, Ethan Thomas, Mason Thomas, Jayden McDaniel, Peyton McDaniel, Steven Bradley Tucker, Emma Willis and Ashelyn Willis; brothers, Bobby Gene McDaniel and Walter David McDaniel Jr. (Judy); a sister in law, Scarlette McDaniel and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
