Delores was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on July 2, 1926. She met Frank Lashmet there where they married and raised their family. As their family grew, Frank and Delores grew apart. They divorced and Delores met Mike Doyle. The two of them decided to take route and follow their daughter Linda south to the Tampa area. Delores and Mike found their new place in Thonotosassa where they lived happily until Mike’s passing. The constant during those years were the friends she made at the Shady Grove Senior Mobile Home Park. Delores was loved by all of her neighbors.
Primarily a homemaker for her family, Delores did however own her own beauty shop for a while. She also worked as a telephone operator and a retail clerk. Her favorite role, however, was being a grandmother to her granddaughter, Jourdan. She felt blessed to have the opportunity to help nurture and care for young Jourdan.
Delores is survived by her daughter, Linda (Lashmet) Randolph and son-in-law Ron Randolph of Windermere, Florida and granddaughter, Jourdan Randolph of Ft. Myers.
Delores was a 30+ year member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Temple Terrace, where a funeral mass will be held for her on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00 am.
She will be joining her predeceased family members at Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa, Florida for her final resting place.
