Alan Blair Black

Passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 thankful for his generous time on this planet. His life spanned unprecedented scientific growth and discovery from early radio to trips to the moon. He always appreciated his fortune to be born at a great time into a great country and to be blessed with his loving wife Betty (nee Butler), of 66 years and four daughters, the loves of his life...

Jeanette Kunza (Tom), Brenda Bertolo (Gerry), Jennifer Borysko (Peter), and Kelly Black (Liz Standing), and their children Jared (Meredith) and Gillian Kunza, Byron, Emilia and Alana Bertolo, and Amy and Shona Borysko. Lovingly remembered by Cory Standing (Lolita) and their children Olivia and Gavin, and by Brian Standing (Amanda) and their children Jackson and Oliver.

He travelled through many communities and gives thanks for all the friends and associates he met along the way: North Toronto Collegiate, Willowdale United Church, RCAF, University of Toronto, the family homestead 45 Olive Ave., IBM and The Gazebo.

Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
