Allan Fred Martindale

Passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2007 at York Central Hospital. Survived by his beloved wife Marion and missed by sons Doug (Carol) and children Nathan and Tanissa, Bob (Pat) and children Kevin and Brendan, Gerald, and Beverley (Jack Drew) and children Chris and Mark. Also survived by brother Ray (Pat), sister Margaret (Leishman), sisters-in-law Jean, Zena and Irene, and numerous nephews and nieces. Veteran of WWII and former Principal of Thornhill, Henderson Ave., Bayview Glen and Dickson Hill Public Schools. Active member of Thornhill United Church, life member of Thornhill Horticultural and Garden Society and former President of District 34 of the Elementary Retired Teachers of Ontario. Family and friends may visit at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Tuesday July 24th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held at Thornhill United Church (25 Elgin Street at Dudley Ave. Thornhill, 905.889.2131) on Wednesday July 25th at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Thornhill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the York Central Hospital Foundation.
