It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Allan Thompson on September 7, 2014. We are comforted in knowing that he appreciated his life, well lived, to age 90. Happily married to Muriel for 60 years. Loving father to Pamela, Cynthia and Paula (Gary), wonderful Papa and hero to Kellen & Alainna, Daniel & Lisette, and Mariah & Cailey. We value his kindness, words of wisdom, work ethic, open mindedness, thirst for knowledge, resilience, wry wit, and courage to challenge "norms". His life touched many people through his caring attention to the needs of his many clients and friends, and through his love of music, and involvement with St. George's Church. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 13th at 10 am at St. George's Anglican Church, 5350 Yonge Street, Toronto, with a celebration of his life at 11 am, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, you may choose to donate to Plan Canada, St. George on Yonge Anglican Church, or the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
