An-Sil Shin passed peacefully with her family by her side after a sudden stroke on September 26, 2022. She is survived by her spouse Nan-Shik Shin, her children, Sung-Wook Shin (Myung-Hyun Shin), An-Shil Lim (Jun-Gee Lim), In-Ho Shin (Hee-Ju Shin), Monica Shin (Michael Butcher), along with her grandchildren Elisha Shin, William Shin, Justin Lim, Jason Lim, and James Shin. She is also survived by siblings Eun-Soek Park, Young-Seok Park, and Myung-Sil Park.
An-Sil is pre-deceased by her parents Chun-Kun Park and Bo-Ok Park, along with her siblings An-Jo Cho, An-Seok Park, Kyung-Seok Park, An-San Hong, and Eun-Sil Kim; she now rejoins them in heaven.
An-Sil will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to family, remembered for her commitment to her church, and remembered as an avid golfer in her golden years.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the staff at North York General and St. Michael’s Hospitals for their compassionate care earlier this year while An-Sil battled colon cancer, and Mackenzie Health where she drew her final breath.
Funeral services will take place at Kane-Jarrett Funeral Homes located at 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill on October 1, 2022 at 10am.
Burial services will immediately follow at Beechwood Cemetery located at 7241 Jane St., Vaughan (approximately at noon)
A lunch reception will be held at Riviera Event Space located at 2800 Hwy 7, Concord (approximately at 1pm)
