A MESSAGE FROM THE FAMILY
***Due to circumstances beyond control, the funeral is moved out one week to Friday June 3rd, 11.30am. On Friday June 3rd, 2022 at 11:30am, we will be doing a graveyard service in Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford Ontario (382 Graham St. Meaford, Grey County, N4L-1A1) as my mother's ashes are interned next to those of my father. As she was an avid fan of the bagpipes, and in deference to her Scottish heritage, the service will be accompanied by a bagpiper. The picture on this website features Marché Bonsecours in Old Montreal, one of my mother's most favourite cities and a place she often visited throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make contribution in my mother's name would be invited to consider either of the following options: My mother was a lifelong supporter of our nation's veterans through her 40+ years of active volunteer work at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. In memory of her commitment to the hospital, donations to the Sunnybrook Foundation would be gratefully accepted. Like so many people across the country, my mother was also a sufferer of cancer. Donations made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully accepted. It is often said that the measure of the success of one's life is best measured by the connections and relationships that person had during their life. By this measure, she was indeed very successful. On behalf of my family, I would like to express our appreciation for the outpouring of support in the wake of her death, and may her memory be kept alive through each of you.
