April 21, 1945 - October 2, 2024
Ann Kathleen Munro (nee Arthurs) was born in England in 1945 to Gaston Napoleon and Mary Breda (Maureen). Her older brother, Paul, was happy to have a younger sister, and a few years later, they welcomed their youngest sibling, Patricia. After living in England and Wales, the family moved to Australia where their father established a medical practice. A few years after graduating from secretarial studies at a business college in Sydney, Ann left Australia to see the world. She arrived in Canada where she met her beloved husband, William, whom she married in 1971. Ann became a loving mother to their four sons: David, Stuart, Patrick, and Christopher. She will be missed by them, as well as her daughters-in-law, Janice and Nadia; her granddaughter, Ryleigh; Pam and Frank, and their children and families; Patricia and the late Peter, and their daughters and families; as well as friends in Canada and Australia. Ann and William travelled the world, particularly enjoying cruises during their retirement. Ann devoted herself to the care of her husband in his final years, and has now joined William thirteen months after his passing. Ann passed away while on a cruise with her sister, and was cremated in Hawaii.
If you would like to offer a donation in honour of Ann and her family, please consider Thompson House. The staff provided round-the-clock care to William Munro for his last years, and Ann would be pleased to know that her dedication lives on.
