Passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at his home at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Amelia "Lily" Battaglia (1984). Loving father of Rosemarie and her husband Terry Avis and Mark and his wife Elaine Brill. Cherished grandfather of Christopher and Amelia. Dear friend of Betty Phillips and her family. Survived by his sister Josephine Nero. Tony will be greatly missed and remembered by all of his family and friends. Friends may call on Saturday, September 10th from 2-4 p.m. and Sunday, September 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 12th at 10 a.m. in the chapel. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
