Anthony Edward Hutchins

Tony passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 65 years and 29 days, after a valiant battle while awaiting transplantation. Beloved husband of Gayle Sharlene Brown. He also leaves behind his sister Gillian Glover, his nephew David, niece Rachel, and his Uncle Pat Jacobs of Hampshire, England. Gumpy Tony will always be missed by Courtney and Keagan and their mother Miranda. Tony was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, son of Eileen and Edward (Ted) Hutchins. He came to Canada May 23, 1969, and earned his BA from the University of Toronto. His working life was within the computer and IT fields, but his real love was music. Tony was the very best that England had to offer. His life was Gayle as hers was her Tony. Gayle held him to the very end so his leaving was peaceful. Thank you to "Our Kate" and Miranda for all your kindness and support. Rest in peace my Tone. God Bless and keep you always, until you and your "little Brown girl" meet again.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009 at St. John's Anglican Church, York Mills (19 Don Ridge Road). As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the St. John's York Mills Cemetery Fund.
